A little clarity about your data.

This notice covers the Watt’s the Catch early-access website, operated by Jade Wu. The energy-cost estimator is still in development.

What you share

When you join, we save your email address, your optional housing situation, the date you joined, and a record of the email consent you gave. If you arrive through a campaign link, we may also save its source label. Please don’t include sensitive information.

Why we use it

With your consent, we’ll use your email for an early-access invitation and occasional development updates from Watt’s the Catch. Your optional housing situation helps us understand who is interested. Joining doesn’t create a paid subscription. We do not sell your signup information.

Storage and access

The list is stored in the site’s database, with access restricted to the site owner and the hosting services needed to run it. The website uses ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers may process data internationally as part of operating their services.

Security and cookies

We don’t add advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Hosting services may use essential security or authentication cookies. To limit spam, the server temporarily records a hashed, time-limited identifier derived from your network address; it does not save your raw network address in the signup database. Expired rate-limit records are cleared during subsequent signup activity. Hosting providers may keep their own operational logs.

Your choices

You can withdraw consent, ask for access, correct your details, or request deletion by emailing jadewybx@gmail.com with “Watt’s the Catch privacy request” in the subject. You can also reply to any development email to unsubscribe. We will stop sending early-access emails when you withdraw consent.

We keep your signup while the early-access programme is active or until you withdraw consent. We will review the list at least annually and remove records that are no longer needed. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

When the product changes

We’ll update this notice before using your information for a different purpose. Joining this list does not give us permission to collect property information or energy-use data about you.
